Toys gushing from a magical fountain. Video installation, part of the scenography for the 40th Anniversary Exhibition at the Children’s Gallery of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
The gallery space was laid out as a garden of shapes and objects inspired by the architecture and the artworks in the museum. Children could play with these shapes, reinvent their stories and assemble them to make works of their own. The goal of the exhibition was to inspire creativity through play.
My mission was to make a video telling the story of the magical appearance of these play objects from a pool. I worked on the shape and nature of this pool and of the substances flowing inside it, as well as on their whimsical dynamics leading to the emergence of the objects.
The video was projected on the floor of an inflatable house within the garden.
